KanoPixel Kit not found after installing new driver

We had the Pixel kits “working” when we first tried it- but we were having trouble with the challenges being fully functional- looked for help- and saw we should install a new driver. Did that- now we can’t connect the pixel kit to the computer- the app can’t find it- and we also can’t use the stand alone features on the pixel kit. We uninstalled and reinstalled the app, switched ports where we ha it plugged in, turned it off and on, restarted the computer… I’m out of ideas- and appears we just have a large piece of broken plastic…
Has anyone had similar problems?
