How to hard reset Kano?

I have a Kano computer kit post Feb 2016. It has a Rasberry Pi 3.
I ran an OS upgrade through command line and post upgrade, it restarts and now ask for a password for the account which i don’t remember. Is there a way to hard reset to factory settings and start the upgrade all over again? Clicking on Shift button during restart didn’t bring any other menu up.

You may need to do a clean install of the SD card, using a Windows, or Mac machine.
